How To Return

How to do a return?

  1. Complete the online return request form in our return centre
  2. Enter your order number and email address and click START.
  3. Follow the instructions and select the items you want to return.
  4. WE ONLY Assess at Return Applications that Include IMAGES of the items
  5. You will get an email with return instructions once the return request is approved.
  6. Ensure the product you are returning is sufficiently packaged. NO returns will be accepted without the product being sufficiently packaged, regardless of the reason for return. (i.e. damaged or just not your cup of tea).
  7. Only use CLEAR TAPE when closing the boxes. No masking, brown or courier adhesive tape will be allowed.

Which items are returnable?

You can return any refundable items within 7 days of delivery of your shipment. We will not accept any returns after 7 days, regardless of the reason for return.

  1. Item must be in original condition.
  2. Ensure the product you are returning is sufficiently packaged.
  3. NO returns will be accepted without the product being sufficiently packaged, regardless of the reason for return.
  4. Free gifts, sale items, Made to Order Items (MTO); custom made/cut; specifically modified for you Items, Light Bulbs and any other non-refundable items as specified in the product description are non refundable! - View Full Terms and Conditions Online
  5. If your product is damaged in any way on delivery, please notify us and send us images as proof within 48 Hours of delivery to hello@lighting.co.za so we may correct this as soon as possible.

Are there any charges for return?

  1. Yes, you are responsible for the Shipping charges of the return (depending on your return reason and whether the item(s) are damaged.)
  2. Lighting.co.za will arrange for our courier to collect your return item(s) once any applicable shipping fees has been settled.
  3. Original shipping charges are non-refundable.

How soon will I get my refund?

Once your return is received and inspected, you are notified via email whether your refund / exchange has been approved or rejected and we will either refund you on our next refund cycle (we process refunds every 2 - 3 days) or we will ship your exchanged product (depending on your initial request).


If you are approved, your refund will be processed and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment. You can expect to see the refund reflecting in your account within 5 -7 working days of processing and will receive an automated notification from our third party payment gateway, Payfast.
